How to reorganize pictures in an album at Google Photos -
https://sites.google.com/site/picasaresources/Home/Picasa-FAQ/google-photos-1/how-to/how-to-reorganize-pictures-in-an-album
Open the Album you want to re-organize on https://photos.google.com/
Method 1: Sorting
At the top right, click the 3-dot menu and click "Edit Album", then the right icon (up/down arrows), the sort by "Oldest First", or "Newest First" or by "Recently Added"You can drag-and-drop one picture at a time to another position.
Or you can click the "Sort Photos" icon (up and down arrows). Unfortunately "Sort by filename" is not possible.
When finished, click the check mark ("Done) in the upper left corner.
◦Method 2: change dates/times
Photos in albums can be sorted by date. Changing dates also changes the order of the photos
◦Select one or more photos in the album
◦At the top right, click the 3-dot menu and click "Edit date & time".
This only changes times in the Photos database. The photo time is not affected.
Generating a Slideshow from PowerPoint:
When you generate images (e.g. .jpg files) from a PowerPoint slide show, PowerPoint creates them in chronological order - Slide 1 first, Slide 2 next, etc. Each slide has it's own creation time & date - down to a fraction of a second.
Load the set of images into Album on Google Photos. Sort them by "Oldest First" (using Method 1:Sorting above) . . . so that Slide 1 goes first etc.
Then to say - "Show (me) photos of <Album_Name> on Chromecast"
or "Show (me) images of <Album_Name> on Chromecast"
or "Show (me) the Slideshow of <Album_Name> on Chromecast"
Don't say "Show (me) Slides of <Album_Name> on Chromecast" . . . it defaults to YouTube Videos
If you repeat a command, or say a new one, it interrupts the current slideshow and starts the new one.
