s-Video Capture and Windows

Here’s the recommended solution for s-Video capture for  OS: Win 7ref KW Irvine.

Please follow the below steps:

Sign out of Skype

            Uncheck the option to start when Windows starts.

Remove the USB device from the laptop USB port.

1. Please remove the old driver and application – using the Device Manager

2. Delete all the files named with “oem” beginning in the C:\WINDOWS\inf

            Turn off the PC.

3. Change the usb port and reinstall the latest driver and application.

4.Please review/refer to the attached file (how to use dvd maker 2)  <How to use DVD MAKER 2.pdf> for some other sample setups.

5. Open Skype and in /Tools/Options set and save Video Options to Splitcam

6. Open Splitcam and select /File/Video Source select Video 2861

7. Open Power Director and select the Video Capture, then change Settings for the Video 2861 to s-video.

8. Minimize Splitcam and Power Director. The s-video will now show in Skype.

Notes:

• Power Director and Power Producer are also on the kworld CD. Only Power Director is required above for the Skype application – to enable selection of s-video.

• For streaming applications, if you switch from RCA video to s-Video input connections on the USB device, when you run WME (Windows Media Encoder) you need to change the configuration. In the Broadcast Live Event/Device Options screen in WME, click on the Configure button and then select either Video Composite or Video s-Video.
