2. Viewing the stream locally.
The live stream will start from the local IP address from the step above. The local IP address is for example https://192.168.0.101:8080. To see and hear it from another PC or Laptop connected to the same LAN via Windows Media Player (WMP), open WMP . . . (e.g. Start/All Programs/Windows Media Player). In WMP, click on File, then Open URL, in the area that opens, enter or paste the URL https://192.168.0.101:8080. The live video & audio should start playing after a few seconds.How do you find the LAN IP address of the VSS-1 system - in Windows 7 click start, then enter cmd and then ipconfig to display the IP information.
Below are examples of live stream links via WMP, opened directly from this web page - via html and a one line asx file pointing to the local stream for Our - the first uses the LAN IP address, the second uses the WAN no-ip address translation service. You'll need to modify the URL for your application IP address.

Viewing the recorded video.
The default location for the recorded video is in the folder c:\Users\UserName\Expression\Expression Encoder\Live Output
Each recorded session has the date and time included in the file name.
You can rename, copy and paste the file to any folder on the LAN or a shared drive or on a web-site. Double click on the file name to open it in Windows Media Player.
Editing the Recorded Video.
There's a powerful free movie editor included with Windows 7 - Windows Live Movie Maker. You can use it to add an introduction, ending credits, music, other video clips, etc.
